The numerical indexes are printed with an aging process to give them a vintage feel.
It seems to be a reproduction of a military watch, so it is made with a small face and the original size. The area around the windshield that gets hit the most has a coin edge that makes scratches less visible. By applying a "coin edge" to the bezel, it also has the effect of suppressing light reflection and making it easier to see the time inside the dial.
The belt is a khaki color (desert color) NATO strap.
This is a reprint of the pilot navigation watch TYPE A-17. The original is an improved version of TYPE-16 and has been issued since the 1950s. Around this time, the development of aircraft led to the appearance of all-weather fighter planes that could take off at night or in the rain, so pilot watches began to require 24-hour display on their dials. The hours from 13:00 to 24:00 are printed inside the indexes (hours) from 1 to 12. The luminescent indexes from that time have discolored to an orange-brown color due to aging. There is also some peeling in places. This brings out the right vintage feel, and we have put some effort into recreating it. This is the most popular model in the TYPE A series. The belt is a khaki color (desert color) NATO strap.
