URGO Burns are sterile dressings ready to use for first and second degree burns and superficial wounds. URGO Burns and Superficial Wounds dressings: The patented lipid-colloid mesh quickly relieves pain, accelerates healing and enables painless dressing removal as it does not stick to the wound. When the gauze comes into contact with the wound exudate, a lipid-colloid gel is formed, thus creating the right conditions for wound healing in a moist environment. It consists of a thin polyester mesh impregnated with hydrocolloid particles and Vaseline, which, thanks to its protective properties, minimises the risk of wound damage during dressing changes. INDICATIONS First and second degree burns caused by household chores, and superficial wounds. HOW TO USE For second degree superficial burns: Initially cool the wound with cold water for 15 minutes to prevent the burn from spreading. In all cases: Clean the wound with an antiseptic solution that does not contain alcohol. Wash with water or saline. In case of a burn, never use coloured antiseptic solutions such as eosin. Dry carefully using a sterile compress. If possible, ensure that the resulting blister does not rupture, as this protects the wound from infection. If the blister ruptures, disinfect the wound. Do not remove the layer of dead skin if it does not come off on its own. Peel off protective film. Apply to the wound. The use of a cream before applying the dressing is unnecessary. The healing process usually takes 5 to 6 days, with the first dressing being changed after 24 hours and subsequent dressings every 48 hours. PRECAUTIONS Dressings intended for the topical treatment of wounds not exceeding the size of a compress. In extensive burns, it is recommended that the compress extends beyond the wound to absorb exudate. If there is no improvement after 6 days of use, a doctor should be consulted. For burns in children, consult your pharmacist. In case of symptoms of infection (redness, appearing on healthy skin, pain...) consult your doctor or pharmacist. URGO Burn Dressing must be used immediately after opening. For single use only. Do not use if the packaging is damaged INDICATIONS Do not use on deep second-degree burns, third-degree burns and facial burns. In these cases, prior consultation with a doctor is necessary. STORAGE Keep away from heat, light and moisture. USAGEFirst dressing should be changed after 24 hours, next dressings every 48 hours.
