The rubber seems good, resistant and elastic, the only con is that it reduces the shine and transparency of the amethysts, so I would suggest using a less colorful rubber to better appreciate the quality of the minerals. Very dissapointed with this necklace/bracelette. The beads are nice but they pinch your neck when you wear them. Also pinch your wrists. Such a pity
