[Yakusugi] Among the cedar trees that grow naturally on Yakushima, which was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1993, only those that are over 1000 years old are called Yakusugi. Yakushima's cedar trees can live for an eternity of over 3,000 years, so they are considered to be valuable trees that are a symbol of longevity and bring good luck.
